You think about getting an eye exam every now and then, but end up putting it off. You may squint a little to read things or see far away, but think it isn’t a big deal. The benefits of good eye health and regular eye exams can lead to a lifetime of good vision. Early diagnosis and treatment is important, since most eye issues don’t have any symptoms.

A few weeks ago we talked about the tell tale signs you need to schedule an eye exam. Here are a few more.

Double Vision

Double vision can be the result of many underlying conditions. It is also known as Diplopia, you can see two (or more) images of a single object. Whether it affects one or both eyes, it should be taken seriously.

If you experience a dramatic change in vision, you should contact your doctor right away.

Dry Eyes

The symptoms of dry eyes, pain, burning, stinging, redness, and watery eyes, can make your life miserable! You don’t have to suffer! The Team at Lake Nona Eye Care, has helped many people get their life back to normal, with the relief from dry eyes.

Sensitivity to Light

If your eyes seem to be sensitive to light, unlike ever before, it is defiantly time to get it checked out. While it may be normal to have some light sensitivity, if it is something new or getting worse, it could be due to vision loss or an eye infection.

Diminished Night Vision

Having a difficult time seeing at night, not able to read the road signs until you’re right on top of them or can’t make out the lines on the road? There are a few reasons why this happens, nearsightedness and vision loss. Either way you should have it checked out before it gets worse.

When Was Your Last Eye Exam?

“Many people think their eyesight is just fine, but then they get that first pair of glasses or contact lenses and the world comes into clearer view—everything from fine print to street signs.” CDC
